  82.    There is a peculiar grandeur, as well as propriety, in this
  83.    method of predicting Nebuchadnezzar's rapid successes.  The
  84.    God of Israel, declaring himself to be the Lord of armies, and
  85.    the Creator and Owner of the whole earth, with all its
  86.    inhabitants and productions, and claiming full sovereignty
  87.    over his creatures, avows his determination, for reasons he
  88.    does not deign to assign, to give all the countries of the
  89.    world to the king of Babylon, whom he calls his servant,
  90.    because he would accomplish an important part of his most
  91.    righteous designs.  They, therefore, who would escape the most
  92.    dreadful judgments, must submit to the God of Israel, by
  93.    submitting to Nebuchadnezzar; they must hearken to the
  94.    prophets of Israel, and not to their own diviners; and they
  95.    must observe, that Nebuchadnezzar, his son, and his grandson,
  96.    would whatever opposition should be made, possess the full
  97.    dominion of all these countries, till the appointed time was
  98.    expired; and then, these haughty conquerors would in their
  99.    turn become the prey of other powerful conquerors; all of
  100.    which was most exactly fulfilled.
